Milk project for children
This on-going project provided thousands of children with fortified milk and high-energy biscuits on a daily basis and targeted
44 preschools, three disabled centres and one orphan centre across the Gaza Strip.
In 2010, the milk project captured 5,000 children who were severely deprived and impoverished. The project also promoted
capabilities and skills of kindergartens teachers by enrolling them on training sessions.
The project supported the local Palestinian economy and industry and growers who provided the project with milk and
nutritional items. It also targeted families with awareness sessions on child nutrition, health and hygiene. This project was
funded by IR UK, IR Germany, IR Sweden, IR Belgium and IR Canada.
