Hani Ereif – a man with a firm will

Hani Erief is a Palestinian living in Gaza Strip in his thirties married and has two children. Hani was a jobless man and was looking for a job that suits his experience and qualifications. In 2010, Hani had a car accident which affected his life. He went in coma and found himself later on unable to revive his own life. He hardly pronounces his words and he suffered physically.

Hani challenged the suffering and struggled to continue his life, willingly.

Gradually, Hani’s health improved and through Islamic Relief he had an opportunity to work within the job creation programme. His new job is in Atfaluna Society for Deaf. There, he gets lessons to help him restore his normal speaking and work in the society so positively.

Hani worked in data entry for the Atfaluna Society for Deaf in Gaza.

Hani said, “I am so happy in my work and I would like to thank Islamic Relief for giving me this opportunity where I learnt a lot and my speech and movement ability are improved.”

Hani added, “I like my working place. I have my personality and life back.”

At the end of a working day, Hani is leaving with Islamic Relief staff members.
