Ramadan in Palestine

Each year during the holy month of Ramadan, Islamic Relief provides thousands of vulnerable families with basic food items. In 2011, Islamic Relief reached thousands of vulnerable families, including female-headed households, refugees, families living in remote and marginalized communities and those living with disability.

Beneficiaries were provided a parcel of stable food items, including rice, sugar, lentils and vegetable oil. A total of 5, 200 families in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank benefited from this project.   

Ramadan 2012 – 1433H

This year, Islamic Relief is organising Iftar for orphan children with their mothers and guardians in the first week of Ramadan in Gaza Strip. Over 100 families with 500 people are included in these Iftars which will take place in many areas in Gaza Strip.

Islamic Relief preparations are going on to start rounds distribution of food parcels targeting thousands of Palestinian families in Gaza Strip and West Bank, depending on donors and their contributions in this regard.
