Recreational Trips for Gaza Orphans

Part of Islamic Relief support is recreational for the orphans. Two groups of orphans were selected for travel to Turkey in 2009 and 2010.

Successively for the second year, Islamic Relief Palestine (IRPAL) organized the second trip for 20 orphans to enjoy life away from the tense situation in Gaza. The trip, which last two weeks, included visits to museums, mosques, parks and recreational places.

The trip also included official meetings in Istanbul, Ankara, Tafashanly, Konia and Kotahia. The trip was a response to an invitation from the Mayor of Tafashanly, Mr. Mostafa Joolar. “Our orphans enjoyed the trip and had so much fun with Turkish children. Turkey was so welcoming, lovely and friendly and much attention and care to the Palestinian children during their tours.
